Borrower Portal

The borrower portal gives your borrowers their own view into the loans you manage for them. Borrowers can see their loans, payment history, disbursements, and remaining balances — but they cannot make changes.

How It Works

  1. You create a borrower in your lender dashboard
  2. You send a portal invitation from the borrower’s detail page
  3. The borrower receives an email with a link to create their account
  4. The borrower accepts the invitation and gets their own dashboard

Once connected, the borrower can log in anytime to see their loans.

What Borrowers Can See

Borrower Dashboard

  • Total Owed — the combined remaining balance across all their loans
  • Total Paid — the total payments they’ve made
  • Active Loans — the number of loans currently active

Loans List

  • All loans the lender has created for them
  • Each loan shows principal, interest rate, remaining balance, and status

Loan Detail

  • Full loan summary (principal, interest, total owed, remaining balance)
  • Disbursement history — every disbursement with date and amount
  • Payment history — every payment with date and amount

Invitations

  • Pending invitations from lenders
  • Accept or reject invitations

Accepting an Invitation

When a lender sends you a portal invitation:

  1. Check your email for the invitation
  2. Click the link to open KorLoans
  3. Log in or create an account
  4. Go to Invitations in the side menu
  5. Tap Accept on the invitation

Once accepted, the lender’s loans for you will appear in your dashboard.

Switching Between Lender and Borrower Views

If you’re both a lender and a borrower (e.g., you lend money to some people and borrow from others), you can switch between views.

How to Switch

  1. Tap your profile in the bottom of the side menu
  2. Select Switch to borrower view (or Switch to lender view)
  3. The app switches to the other dashboard

You can also switch from the Profile screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can borrowers edit their loans? No, the borrower portal is read-only. Only the lender can create loans, record payments, and manage disbursements.

Can a borrower be connected to multiple lenders? Yes. If multiple lenders send invitations, the borrower can accept each one and see loans from all their lenders.

What if a borrower doesn’t have an email? You need the borrower’s email to send a portal invitation. You can add their email to their borrower profile at any time.

Can I revoke a borrower’s portal access? Deleting the borrower record will remove their access to loans associated with your account.

Do borrowers need to download the app? Borrowers can access their portal through the mobile app (iOS/Android) or the web at kor.loans.
