Learn how to add, edit, and manage borrower profiles, including inviting borrowers to access their own portal
Managing Borrowers
Borrowers are the people you lend money to. Each borrower can have one or more loans, and you can optionally give them their own login to view their loans and payment history.
Adding a Borrower
- Navigate to Borrowers in the side menu
- Tap Add Borrower
- Fill in the borrower’s details:
- Name (required)
- Email (optional — needed if you want to invite them to the portal)
- Phone (optional)
- Tap Save
Viewing Borrower Details
Tap any borrower in the list to see their detail page. Here you’ll find:
- Contact information — name, email, phone
- Loans — all loans associated with this borrower
- Quick actions — create a new loan for this borrower, send a portal invitation
Inviting Borrowers to the Portal
The borrower portal lets your borrowers log in and view their own loans, payment history, and balances. It’s read-only — they can see but not modify anything.
How to Send an Invitation
- Open the borrower’s detail page
- Tap Send Invitation
- The borrower receives an email with a link to create their account
What Happens Next
- The borrower clicks the link in their email
- They create an account (or log in if they already have one)
- They accept the invitation
- They can now see all loans you’ve created for them
Invitation Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Invitation sent, waiting for borrower to respond |
| Accepted | Borrower accepted and can now access their portal |
| Rejected | Borrower declined the invitation |
Deleting a Borrower
You can delete a borrower only if they have no active loans.
- Open the borrower’s detail page
- Tap the menu icon and select Delete
- Confirm the deletion
If the borrower has active loans, you’ll need to delete those loans first (which requires removing all their payments and disbursements).

Can a borrower have multiple loans? Yes, a single borrower can have as many loans as needed.
Can I edit a borrower’s information after creating them? Yes, open the borrower’s detail page and update their name, email, or phone number.
What happens if I delete a borrower who has been invited to the portal? The borrower can no longer access loans associated with your account through their portal.
Can two lenders have the same borrower? Each lender manages their own borrower records independently. If two lenders both lend to the same person, each creates their own borrower profile.
