How to Delete Your Account
Step-by-step instructions for permanently deleting your KorLoans account and all associated data
How to Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your KorLoans account at any time from the Profile screen. This guide walks you through the process and explains what happens to your data.
Before You Delete
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before proceeding, understand what will be removed:
- Your user profile (name, email)
- All session and authentication data
- Any borrower records you created (if you are a lender)
- Any loans, payments, and disbursements tied to your account
If You Are a Lender
You must remove all borrowers and loans before deleting your account. KorLoans enforces this to prevent accidental loss of financial records.
Required steps before deletion:
- Delete all payments from each loan
- Delete all disbursements from each loan
- Delete each loan (only possible once payments and disbursements are removed)
- Delete each borrower (only possible once all their loans are removed)
Once all records are cleared, you can delete your account.
If You Are a Borrower
If a lender has created loans for you, you cannot delete your account until those loans are closed. Contact your lender and ask them to remove the loans associated with your profile.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open KorLoans
- Tap your profile in the bottom of the side menu
- Select Profile settings
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section
- Tap Delete Account
- Read the confirmation dialog carefully
- Confirm the deletion
Your account will be deleted immediately and you will be signed out.

Troubleshooting
”Cannot delete account while you have active loans or borrowers”
This means you still have borrower or loan records. The error message will tell you exactly how many remain. Follow the steps:
- Go to Loans and open each loan
- Delete all payments from the loan
- Delete all disbursements from the loan
- Delete the loan itself
- Go to Borrowers and delete each borrower
- Return to Profile and try deleting your account again
”You have active loans. Please contact your lender”
This appears if you are a borrower with loans created by a lender. You cannot delete these yourself. Reach out to your lender and ask them to remove or close the loans linked to your profile.
